We Declare a Climate Emergency

We declare a climate emergency

We have always placed our social and environmental impact as a primary measure of success for our business. Now more than ever, we are clear that we need to do more. We acknowledge there is a climate emergency which requires immediate and progressive action by our business.

We are making a public pledge to look at our business model in the context of this and make meaningful changes. This includes a commitment to carbon neutrality by the end of 2022.

In the coming months we will begin to document our journey towards carbon neutrality, with the ultimate aim of seeing our business achieve Net zero carbon status by 2030. We will keep a record of how we achieve our ambition along with the milestones and issues we encounter as we work towards this pressing goal. We are acutely aware of the exploitation of our environment and the imminent threat this poses for us and our children.

“With the current rate of soil degradation, we have less than 60 years of farming left.”

“The 20 warmest years on record have been in the past 22 years”

World Meteorological Organization

“Wildlife populations have declined an average of 60% since 1970.”

“Every six seconds, an acre of rain forest is cut down for cattle farming.”

The scientific evidence is clear, without rapid and far-reaching changes in energy, land use, transport, buildings, industry, and the economic system itself, we face a man-made extinction level event. Now is the time for action, and we urge you to act too.

If not us, who? If not now, when?
